How to use the gold and silver spot desk

This note covers the Gold and Silver screens: price, holdings, chart, and the buy/sell form.

The top of the page

You get a pair name (Gold XAU/USD or Silver XAG/USD), a Gold/Silver switch, and a live badge. Under that, a market ticker. Then four cards: Last price per gram, Holdings in grams with average cost, Market value with P&L, and Available cash with a deposit link. Read cash and last price before you type grams. The chart under those cards is a TradingView picture of the metal. It is not the fill engine.

Buy

  1. Leave the Buy tab active (green).
  2. Type grams or tap a chip. The summary updates quantity and “You pay.”
  3. Tap a settlement method so the tile highlights. USDT is selected by default. The method is stored on the order. Cash still pays.
  4. If “You pay” is larger than cash, a red note appears and Buy stays disabled. Deposit, then come back.
  5. Submit. Confirm the dialog. On success you return with a green banner. Cash is lower. Holdings are higher if the status is completed.

If you skip a method, the server rejects the ticket. If spot is missing in settings, the server rejects the ticket. If you are short cash, the server rejects the ticket even if you bypass the browser check. The confirm dialog is courtesy. The ledger is the law.

Sell

  1. Tap Sell (red). If you have no grams, you get a sentence instead of a fake form.
  2. Type grams or tap Max. Max is remaining holdings, not a round number.
  3. Read “You receive.” That is grams × desk spot.
  4. Confirm. Cash increases. Holdings fall. History shows a SELL row.

You cannot sell more than you own. Completed buys minus sales is the cap. Pending buys that never finished do not add to that cap.

History

The table mixes buys and sells, newest first. Buys show value now and P&L only when status is completed. Pending rows show dashes instead of fantasy profit. Method is the tag you picked. Status uses the same badges as the rest of the client area. Full history across property and metals lives under Metals & Property History.

Emails

A completed buy or sell sends a confirmation to the email on the account. Check order history if you want to confirm the grams landed.
